The White Diamond was found January 26, 1905, in the Premier No. 2 mine, near Pretoria, South Africa at 3106.75 carat weighing 603.35 g, (1.37 lb). It is Assorted cut shaped diamonds.The Cullinan Diamond was cut by Asscher Brothers.The Original owner of the diamond are Premier Diamond Mining Co, But now it is in the hands of British Crown.
The Stone was very Big in size and a large polished gem found from the stone is known as “Cullinan I” , the largest polished diamond in the world at 530.4 carats weighing 106.1 g. Cullinan I was also known as “Great Star of Africa”. There were many gems found from the Cullinan Diamond. The second largest gem from the Cullinan stone was named as “Cullinan II”, at 317.4 carats weighing 63.5 g, also known as “Lesser Star of Africa”. The Cullinan II diamond is the forth largest polished diamond in the world.The Estimated worth of Cullinan diamonds are more than $200 million - $400 Million.
